Reasonable pub in the middle of town. Friendly service.
I went for the Rose And Crown bitter which was fine. Nice sun trap out the back.
Glad to have called in.

The Rose & Crown is a very long and thin Greene King pub with seating at the front before steps up to a bar counter along the left wall and two banquette seating areas along the right. Televisions are located throughout for airing live sport, which was muted during my visit in favour of some background music. At the rear is more seating and out the back is a paved beer garden with lots of seating. At the rear of the garden are some large old workshops, one of which was opened up to supply some covered seating, a large TV screen and table football.
The bar, that was being polished with brasso by a young barman, supports standard and premium keg alongside six hand pumps. These were drawing GK IPA, Old Speckled Hen, Abbot, and Rose & Crown Ale alongside Lilley’s Cheeky Pig and Mah Ghoooul cider. I found the service to be polite, but like most GK pubs I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit.

Horrible Pub. Served a pint of Immortal that would have killed me if I had drank it. Couldn't get it close to my mouth before the smell hit me.

Pub building is impressive but the palce is full of litter. Avoid.
