The One Elm has an L-shaped bar counter with four handpumps along the shorter end that faces the entrance. GK Old Speckled Hen, TT Landlord, and Deuchars were available with the Mad Goose being off. The longer pert of the bar, that supports premium keg, faces high tables that run along the right hand wall. At the rear is a large restaurant area that was lights out. The manager and staff were all very friendly and I’d return for another beer.

Well described by others, below, we found this pub welcoming and friendly. The young staff were professional and helpful, and I managed to avoid tripping over the step change in floor height. Food seemed reasonably priced, and it was a good place to share an evening meal. Ales on were Mad Goose and Jimbo from Purity, and Tim Taylor’s Landlord. I’d be very happy to go back.

A tardis like pub, much bigger than the modest frontage would have you believe. The mosaic tiled entrance corridor gives way initially to two rooms,to the right more characterful with a fine fireplace with a red leather seating surround, tables around the periphery and a snug atmosphere. The otherside is mainly in pine styling while further back there are high tables and chairs.
The bar sits mid building ,beyond which opens out to more palatial surroundings, dining type tables,a higher level seating area and a very fine courtyard garden.Serious money has been spent creating an upmarket feel and it is popular with the young professionals who live close to town.I didn't eat but plenty were.A laid back soundtrack was well judged.
There were 4 ales on my trip with GK Old Golden Hen,Purity UBU and Mad Goose (NBSS 3.5) and TT Landlord.A decent selection ,this pub stands to one side of the town centre but is well worth a trip.It has the added bonus of not being overrun by tourists,I would happily return.

Very smart inside with a nice open fire . 4 beers on including 2 from Purity and Church Farm IPA. The IPA was excellent and probably the best pint I had all day.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The One Elm

Much larger than it first appears, with the original pub building extended rearwards and seemingly incorporating other outbuildings further back. Thoroughly modernised inside, with light decor and semi-modern furniture in the various seating / dining areas. Four real ales on handpump: Hooky, Old Speckled Hen, Purity Mad Goose and Church Farm Harry's Heifer (£3.60).

I agree with Rob this is more of a restaurant and wine bar. Nevertheless glad we popped in as the Church Farm Old Pal beer was excellent. The pub was modern in deco with some contemporary floor tiles as you enter. The bar went back some way with a split level oak timber framed dining area at the rear and an enclosed garden patio on the other side. Other ales on were two from Purity and a Doombar.

This is yet another Stratford pub that’s more of a restaurant and wine bar. The actual restaurant area is at the rear but the whole place is very foodie. There are a few seats in the tiny room to the right as you enter and lots of high tables and chairs in the main bar area. There are loads of great photos around the walls of guitar players etc. It’s very bright and airy and obviously very girlie friendly. Three handpumps on the bar selling Purity UBU and Gold plus Bombardier. Both Purity beers were in good nick. I thought it was an OK place but the other half loved it so we came back twice in two days.
