Real Ale Ray left this review about The Raglan Arms

There were eight handpumps in action on our visit. We went for the Kelham Island Pale Rider, Westgate Gangly Shroud and their Raglan Original. All the ales were in top notch condition and the service was friendly and chatty. If you're planning a visit here, you may note that it opens at 4pm.

A small, cottage style pub with front and rear patio areas. It is now an end-terrace, but i guess that it originally dates to the mid-19th cent if called the Raglan Arms. It is in white render, with bay windows either side of the modest entrance. The interior still preserves something of its old rooms. A snug room is on the left when entering, in white with patterned carpet, a large brick fireplace (with burner) and eclectic pictures on the walls. To the right there is a slightly larger room, where the entrance has been opened out more. This room is in white, has a fireplace and a TV (not on). The main bar area is at the back, is on two levels and in white and wood panel. There is a dartboard, lots of memorabilia, old prints and sport photos. The TVs were not on. The service was really friendly and a few locals were in. Beer; usual tap stuff with Hardy & Hanson's MILD and a continental lager. Handpulls consisted of; London Pride, St Austell Tribute and Proper Job (decent), GK Golden Hen and Abbott, Salopian Shropshire Gold, Oakham Citra (my mate's best pint of the day) and Lord Raglan's Bitter. This pub has won a plethora of awards and it isn't hard to see why. I could have spent all day here - a visit spolit only by losing at darts.
