This was obviously a two roomed pub originally. The left hand side is the L shaped bar mentioned below. To the right is a further room which was full of somewhat well oiled people singing along to karaoke and dancing. An unusual idea in that when a singer is called up, if the other punters like the song, they get up and start dancing around them. No real ale, so I had a half of fizz and watched what was going on with some intrigue. This appears to be every Sunday night. It's not my kind of scene really, but everyone of all ages seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves. It was busy and quite fun. Good luck to them.

The White Lion is a single room pub with an L-shaped bar counter in the left rear corner that supports standard and premium keg. In the left front are some bucket seats and tables run up the right to the rear where a pool table and dartboard can be found. Live football is advertised and there was some background music playing to the almost empty pub during a recent Monday evening visit after the football had finished. This place feels more like a late bar than a pub so isn’t on my list for a revisit.

Good pub, nice to take friends. Outdoor area now sits 50+ people and catches the sun. Had a John Smiths which wasn't the best but I suspect they don't get through a lot. Also operate an electric darts game.

A largish corner pub down the hill from the bus station. A large single room with a pool table smack bang in the middle. 4 handpumps but only 2 on serving Bombardier and Bombardier Gold. Outside beer garden at the rear with its own bar (when open). A satisfactory pub but nothing special.

The White Lion is a corner pub that is in the centre of Macclesfield.
When i went in this pub it was a Boddingtons tied house the inside had been opened out into one room with different drinking areas and there was only one real ale on the bar this was Boddingtons bitter and this was on electric pump and this was a decent drink.
