Soup Dragon left this review about The White Swan

This is a detached pub, with patio area. The pub has had minor name changes since the late Victorian period, being listed as the Swan, Old Swan and more recently, the White Swan. It is a great looking Georgian styled building, spread over two buildings - the larger being a cottage style, three upper and two lower windows, flanking a pedimented door. It is in white render (with black paintwork), with dog-tooth cornice. There are rounded, lower, 'sympathetic' sash style windows, with similar, but smaller, upper. The interior has a couple of rooms. On entry, there is a smaller snug to the right, which is in white, with red seating and a few brasses. The main room is to the left. It is in cream, with blue carpet, white and beam ceiling and a chocolate coloured fireplace with burner fire. There is a long perimeter seat, with tables. A few bottles, books, brassess and a bow and arrow are objects of interest, with some old photos on the walls. The service was friendly and there were no others in. There was no TV (a point the landlady was adamant about and there was no music. Beer; usual tap stuff with Evarards Tiger, Original (decent), Adnams Broadside and a decent Derby BC's Business as Usual. A really nice little pub and a former GBG one - definitely worth dropping by.
