UPDATE: Pub has gone for good, now converted into flats.

(Aug 2010) A detached undressed brick pub with a patio full of flower arrangements (for a competition) and kids play area.

The interior has two rooms; a bar and a lounge. The lounge is to the right on entry and is all in white, including the support and ceiling beams, with red seating and a fireplace. There are general print and old photos on the walls and a TV, which wasn’t on and there was no music. The bar, to the left on entry, is in white and red. It is more modern, with Beatles and other music memorabilia on the walls, with a pool table, a TV (also not on) and general background music was at a decent level. The service was fine and the clientele small, but mixed.

Beer; tap stuff, with Pedigree, Everards Tiger, a decent enough Clarkes Classic Blonde and Lymstone’s Stone Faced on handpull.

A decent enough pub on my visit, less of a choice than The Red Lion, but a wider variety of breweries – more than worth a visit, but do both just to make sure!

This is a two roomed pub,we went in the left hand room which is marked has a bar but was carpeted and fairly comfortable.
There were 5 real ales on the bar plus 1 real cider i had a drink of Triple brewery Altons Pride which was very nice there was also Evererds Tiger Bitter which was also very good plus Pedigree Marstons Bitter and Greene King IPA,we thought this was a really decent pub.

Local pub for local people. Not unfriendly, but nothing in it would entice me away from Red Lion
