Bucking Fastard left this review about Arches

Well named as it sits below an impressive railway viaduct, some serious money has been spent on a refurb of this 1930's roadhouse, still exhibiting brewers tudor on the exterior. The interior is open plan with to the left a comfortable lounge with a huge wall hugging bench in dark red leather, some substantial wood tables, tea lights and a raised section at the far end.The huge picture windows give lots of internal light during the day.The bar is central and also serves another dining section with ranks of metal chairs and tables in a canteen arrangement, much less welcoming.Everything is smart, the lighting modern and the welcome friendly.Sports flatscreens were functional but pleasingly on mute while the soundtrack was at a sensible volume.I didn't inspect the food offering.
The single handpump was unused, the barmaid said there was an occasional ale but I chose from a very mainstream 8 keg gantry with the best option Blue Moon Belgian White, pleasant at £4.10.
Nothing here for the real ale fan,I hope the large expenditure works out for the owners as Nuneaton has over the years lost too many pubs. Not far from the Coventry Canal at Boot Wharf.
