Interesting is the word I would choose to describe this place. Others might say odd! A strange mixture of odd furniture. The front part has a wall that resembles a hedge and the rear section looks like it has been drawn! See the pictures I posted. You really need to see it to judge for yourselves! Craft ales which are listed on a board above the bar. On the whole I liked the place and I would call again.

Nick Davies left this review about The Duke

Huge vertical drinking barn extending back the whole block which is aimed squarely at the town's large student population, with whom it is justifiably popular.
Not much changed since Steve visited a couple of years ago, and not much to offer the more mature pubgoer. No real ale, but enjoy Wifebeater priced by the pint or gallon, and offers such as Beat My Meat Treat.

Low cost drinking barn that goes back for miles from the front entrance. Different sections with different wooden floor levels, a modern décor with lots of artwork and plenty of sports screens available down the length including an absolutely enormous projection screen in the section right at the back of the bar.
Large Aluminium bar area to the right and then minimalist seating dotted about. Sparsely populated on the Sunday lunchtime I visited and was a bit soulless when empty. I’m guessing this is the type of place that doesn’t come alive until late evening when the youth of Leamington Spa come out to play. Lots of chrome fizz taps on the posh bar surface and although there were two hand pumps on the bar as well, it looked like it had been a long while since they were last clipped..
Didn’t take me long to leave this one, but then I don’t think CAMRA members are the target demographic.
