Well described below. A good choice of beers. There was a world cup match on and I would be happy enough to watch a game here.

Now refurbished into Greene King's idea of a Victorian town centre boozer. The layout is the same, it's a shop conversion, one room, bar on the left, leading to a small smokers den and courtyard out the back and giving access to Tesco's car park. The polished dark wood and bare boards and banquettes are meant to give the Victorian theme; the tables and chairs now, wretchedly, of three different heights, and that includes the banquettes, and the TVs blaring sport reminds us that this is 2017. A bonus is the additional handpumps, with both Mad Goose and Ubu available in addition to the usual GK suspects.

It continues to attract an older clientele during the day, and is fine for a quick one if you can nab one of the few remaining normal height tables.

Feb 2016 notes
--------------

Routine town centre GK outlet appealing to the more mature drinker.Pleasant enough though you have to cope with too much high seating and the TVs can be difficult to ignore. Friendly staff dispensing the usual GK range plus nominal 'guest' in good condition. A good bet if you want a quick one while out shopping, certainly compared to the other three or four places along here.

Comfortable Town centre pub with nice patio area out the back. It was being well utilised on the early afternoon of my visit as there are several separate areas, each of which seemed to have its own screen for the sport and Premiership football was on for my visit. Fortunately, like several others, I’d popped in to watch the game, but if you weren’t interested the wall to wall footy may well be a bit intrusive.
GK house and standard GK range and seasonal GK stable guest were on. The IPA was OK and this seemed to be one of the better options close to the shopping area, but not a destination pub by any means.

An ex Hogshead pub now taken over by Greene King. The decor still looks a bit like a Hogshead crossed with a JDW. Lots of high stools and tables around the place with a small raised area to the left as you enter. 4 handpumps on the bar serving ales from the GK range. I had a pint of Golden Hen which was OK to be fair. The other half says that the red wine was just about OK as well. It's not got much character and the few clientele were loud semi-drunk males in suits. We passed this pub 3 times during our visit to Leamington, but only called in once for one. The next twice we walked past. Sums up the pub really.

The beer in the Hogshead is superb with prices you would expect from a pub in the centre of town Sky tv and great food
