Nick Davies left this review about The Heathcote Inn
A typical thirties roadhouse (though it didn't open as a pub till after the war) on the original main road south out of town. The original three-room layabout is discernable but it's long since been knocked through, fake beams installed, and apart from a cosy corner to the right there is little that appeals. Originally a Davenport's house (thus S&N thus Heineken) but the beers seem Marton's related now, I had a drink of EPA and it was a nice drink.
Fine if you like dining out on burgers and pizza.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Heathcote Inn
Large angled roadhouse in prominent position at a crossroads, now back to its original name after a spell as the Bear in the Spa. Refurbished inside with a mixture of semi-modern furniture and decor in the various seating / dining areas on each side of the central bar. There is a split-level patio / decking / grassed beer garden at the back and also a few tables out front. Four handpumps on the counter, offering Theakston's Best, Young's Ordinary, Broadside and the 'house' Roseacre Ale (£3.70).
