Nick Davies left this review about The Fat Pug

Community local in the residential stretch between Warwick and Leamington, and run by the same people as the Royal Pug in town. It's decorated with pictures of the eponymous dog, ugly, smelly creatures which I do my best to avoid, and doesn't give the best first impression of the establishment. The layer of builder's dust on the seats, stickyness of the tables and overall need for a lick of paint doesn't give the best second impression of the establishment either.

There are two rooms, the first the main bar with some tables for normal people and the usual array of high chairs to put you off. Another room further on is more for eating, decorated in gastro-vomit grey and furnished with stuff from a church hall fire-sale.

On the up side, there's a fine array of beers, attractively served, though my Slaughterhouse Boar D'Eau was as tired as the surroundings.

I'm sure it's fine if you're with the right crowd, but I wouldn't go out of my way to make another casual visit.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Fat Pug

Modernised pub, opened out at some stage to leave a two-part rectangular bar, and all thoroughly refurbished in a mix of semi-traditional styles. Private dining room (not visited). Five of six handpumps in operation, with Doom Bar, Black Sheep, Bombardier Burning Gold, Oakham Inferno and the 'house' (Warwickshire) Fat Pug at £3.75 on offer when I visited.

Soup Dragon left this review about Coventry Arms

An end terrace corner pub in white render, the window shutter effect giving a slightly mediterranean feel to the building. Als has small patio.

The interior was an open plan room in a two-tone browny colour and had nice curtains, vallances and chandeliers. There was a little tiled fireplace as well. There were a few old photographs, but it looked a little plain on the walls. There was a wood floor. Sky TV and a dart board were provided, as well as mixed music at a decent level. Service was fine, the clientele small.

Beer; tap stuff with an OK Everard's Beacon

A nice enough little place - the beer choice means that i wouldn't seek it out again, but would be happy to pop in if walking past
