This place seems to have changed a bit since previous reviews. It's a rectangular carpeted room split into different areas. TVs were on and music was playing. This is signed as a Craft Union pub which seems to be yet another marketing device by Enterprise (Ei Group) for their failing pub estate.
There are two hand pumps which had one unused and Bass. I didn't want to ruin my day by having to drink Bass in the final pub so went for a Grolsch Lager (£2.90) which was much as I expected ot to be.
I wouldn't return here.

The Clock is a fairly large looking pub that is situated at the top end of long street.
Once inside there is a decent sized lounge to the left, this room is carpeted and had a long bench seat running down the left side, there was a proper poker table to the front, there were normal tables and chairs elsewhere, there is a small narrow bar to the right which had basic bench seating running down the right side.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of John Smiths smooth crap which lived up to its name.
The pub was empty with me being the only customer on a latish Saturday afternoon visit,it is also up for let so things dont look that rosy here.
Overall i thought this was a pretty poor pub.

This is a terraced three storey Georgian styled styled former pub - now a restuarant and sports bar, with a big indoor bouncy castle (7 days a week) apparently, only i didn't see that! The upper facade is in a slightly tired crem with red lintels and sills around the sash windows. The lower facade is in brick with sash windows. There is a large clock jutting out from the wall (i wonder why?).

The interior has two rooms that i saw, served by a central island bar, giving some feel as to the old pub now gone. The room to the left is the restaurant, which is in a traditional white artex look, exposed brick and a white and beam ceiling. A cartwheel sits bravely on the wall and it is populated by tables, chairs and menus. I didnt eat, or see the menu, so i can't comment on that. The room to the right is the sports bar. I expected teen lads, but found i was one of the youngest and it was quite busy (friendly too). The walls, what little can be seen' are in white, with some wood panel. There is a yellow ceiling and yellow lino floor. The whole wall space is taken up with the shirts and scarves of various teams, with a wall dedicated to the Liverpool (it is the HQ of the Atherstone Liverpool Supporter's Club). I do hope they go and watch Atherstone FC as well, as they have gone bust more times than Portsmouth. There are, of course, loads of TVs with sport on and a pool table sat at the end of the room. There are red stools and perimeter seating, giving that all-American bar feel. There was no music and the service was friendly.

Beer; there is a single handpull, but there was nothing on, so all tap stuff at mmy visit - there was a Highgate MILD tap, but this was off too. I had coke.

You know what it is when you go in, but just how it sits with the more traditional decor of the restaurant i don't know. Great if you are a fizz drinking Liverpool fan especially.
