Blue Scrumpy left this review about Seven Stars

Closed the last time I visited North Shields in October 2020, this locals' pub was a pleasant surprise. The pub has a single, square room. Many of the tables were reserved for later in the evening. I don't believe they serve food. So, I'm guessing the reservations may have been for a quiz or some other similar event.

The barman/landlord did seem on the grumpy side. But he had a good selection of beers and ciders. The house beer is Three Kings Seven Stars. Other real ales were Fyne Ales Mixtape IPA, Three Kings Decade, Ossett White Rat & Five Points Railway Porters. Real ciders were Thistly Cross Whisky Cask, Weston's Rosie's Pig Rhubarb Cider & Abrahall's Lily the Pink. Craft beers were Brew By Numbers Pale Ale Amarillo & Simcoe, Anspach & Hobday London Black, Three Kings Pale Ale & Flash House Tiny Dancer.

This pub is well worth a visit and exceeded all of my expectations. Possibly the best pub in North Shields. Although the Enigma Tap takes some beating.

Real Ale Ray left this review about Oddfellows

A good well run ale pub this one and well worth a visit. This is a one room pub with a beer garden. The barmaid was very welcoming and chatty. There were three ales on handpump and a further three on the back of the bar. I went for the Gundog Brewery Top Gun and Milestone Olde English Ale, both were top notch. The pub has a good relaxed atmosphere to it and the locals were friendly.

Alan Stobbs left this review about Oddfellows

Visited Oddfellows last night as Sunday is quiz night and found a choice of eight real ales on show. Three on the bar and five on an addition to the back wall which can accommidate up to six beers in pins. Tried Derwent Mutineers and Sonnet 43 blonde beer both in very good condition. If you are in the area 2nd to 6th May watch out for the beer festival in the beer garden out the back.

Locals friendly one room pub with outside beer garden. Three real ales are on the bar. Holds a beer festival begining of May and a Cider festival in October.
