Graham Coombs left this review about Rosies Bar

I was slightly concerned at the barmaid disappearing to the cellar as soon as I walked in, plus the two handpumped beers were both off and the music was over-loud, nonetheless this feels like a proper pub serving its regulars and, although tarted up, it is traditional enough to have a good atmosphere. The ales, which apparently had been dispatched by fans from nearby St James's Park the day before, should have been TT Landlord and what looked like something from Maxim.

Since the last reviews were made Old Rosies has been revamped. They advertise outside about selling Cask Ales, but was disappionted only to find a Marstons Pedigree and Deuchers IPA.

John Bell left this review about Rosies Bar

If you go into this pub, remember to point out the pump that you want your drink from. I went in at 2 o,clock on the 2nd of Jan 08 and asked for a pint of Stella. I was given fosters and although I pointed this out to the bar maid she refused to change the drink insisting that I had asked for Fosters. Although I and afterwards my friend explained otherwise she still refused so we went next door to the Newcastle Arms a much better pub.

Al Inshearah left this review about Rosies Bar

One of those pubs that has never changed. Located a stones throw from St James Park and at the end of China Town, this bar is most famous for the clock that turns anti-clockwise, and heads that radomly move, much to the cunfusion of anyone who is drunk. Just starting to look a bit tired
