Graham Coombs left this review about The Hatch

Curious little pub on a bendy road junction, which doesn't look much from the outside but is surprisingly nice inside. Now a genuine free house, it has avoided the usual corporate refurbishment but is tastefully decorated in a drawing room feel, enhanced by a random selection of antique-type chairs and tables. Behind the large central bar is a smaller cosy area with a sign pointing to more "secret seating" somewhere in the back. There are also a few roadside tables in the front. A good range of mainly local ales is on offer, together with a very large wine list and a high-quality food offering.

I L left this review about The Hatch

This pub is situated on the A25 between Redhill and Reigate. Believe it was converted into a pub in the 1950's. In the 1990's it was a mecca for ale lovers as there were up to 10 ales mainly from micro breweries but it was very expensive. In recent years it has been taken over by Shepherd Neame and did go down hill a lot. In the past year a new manager / landord has taken over who has made a huge difference and this pub now worth visiting on a regular basis as he tries to stock all the special brews that Shepherd Neame now produce.
