A plain vanilla locals' pub, it hs had a bit of a facelift in modern colours (ie grey) and some tall tables but otherwise pretty standard. There is one main room across the front round the bar, with a back games room and a garden at the rear. Just the one handpump now, serving Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter but in fair condition.

Steve C left this review about The Bull Inn

I visited the Bull Inn on a recent Saturday evening when there was a crowd of young local lads in attendance. They were all in good spirits and seemed harmless enough to this lone visitor.

The pub is set back from the road by a large car park and around to the left rear is a beer garden and smoking area. The interior consists of a main bar area and a room at the left rear where there is a pool table and dartboard. The bar area houses a couple of plasma screens for showing live sport and some conventional furniture that has seen some years. The bar is stocked with standard draught and the two hand pumps that I spotted were drawing Harvey’s Best and Sharp’s Doom Bar.

I found the service to be friendly enough and this is a decent local’s boozer, but I’m not sure I would go out of my way to visit again.

The Bull is a large Edwardian pub in its own grounds in a residential area just outside the town centre. The landlord is amiable and very chatty, and it was quite noticable that the whole place was spotlessly clean. There is a single large bar, roomy but otherwise featureless. Bar snacks were on offer, very good value for money. There were 3 ales on, and I had a pint of Young's Bitter which was in great condition. A calm, pleasant atmosphere makes this a good place to come for a pint and a snack, and I'd be happy to drop in any time or to include on a crawl.
