A largish open plan pub with a fairly modern feel about it,most of the pub is on a raised level by way of three or four steps shortly after entering, there is a small section along the front of the pub of street level seating. Decor is subdued along with low level lighting giving the sizable area a cosy feeling, food seems to be a big draw here along with a decent beer ethos, the attendees on my Sunday evening visit trended toward young couples and family's although there was a presence of a few solo drinkers, myself included. Wooden boarded floors throughout complemented the stout looking wooden bar upon which are four hand pumps ,three in use at the time of my visit dispensing ,Hogs Back TEA, Doom Bar and Harviestoun Bitter and Twisted, which was in very good form.Advertised were also a good number of Craft/Keg offerings from the likes of Meantime, Freedom, Redchurch and St Austell among others, there seemed to be a specialisation in IPA's. Not a bad place at all really if not my normal type of haunt, I wouldn't be adverse to a return visit.

Personally I find the Drummond a little boring, however the drinks range is massive, admittedly these tend to be foreign lagers and thus very expensive. Expect to pay upto 4 pounds for any of these, while a real ale shall be just about manageable for the wallet. It looks clean, it looks fine, but it has nothing interesting about it.

When I visited, it was called the Drummond as far as I know.
