As described by Moby, below. The large TV screen was showing sport, there weren’t many people in and the pub dog was by far the most sociable person there. Ales on were TEA, Tribute and Ghost Ship, all in decent condition. Also on were Guinness, Moretti, 2 mega-ciders, Fosters and Stella, plus there was a bank of cocktails on tap, which seemed rather gaudy. It’s a decent enough pub but not somewhere I’d seek out unless passing through.

A pub that has obviously had a bit of a makeover in recent years, a bit out on a limb on the western outskirts of Guildford, food I would imagine is to the fore here for pulling in the customers. That said the front area of the L shaped interior manages to maintain a pubby feel and the clientele appeared on my visit to be community based despite the pub appearing to be a fair walk from general habitation a look on the satellite map shows a lot of housing hidden by woodland just behind the pub .In the pubby front bit there is a mix of casual seating on on the bar five hand pumps , one was vacant leaving a choice of Otter Best,Doom Bar,Youngs Special and St Austell Tribute, the latter being in decent form. There were some picky food bits on the bar, cheese cubes, small slices of pizza etc, whether these were the remains of lunchtime was unclear but the herby cheese was nice enough. The other bit of the L shape to the rear was set for dinning and unpopulated at the time of my visit, late afternoon/early evening on a Sunday.Rugby was on a solitary tv screen at the far end of the pubby bit, whilst at the other barren end piped music, of a relaxed modern jazz type was playing at quite a loud yet given the nature of it, unobtrusive level.A decent enough place really, worth a pint should you ever be passing this way.
