Comfortable suburban pub with a good beer range. The one room has a mixture of traditional furnishings and armchairs, while outside there is a decked patio. Sampled from an interesting selection of ales was Reunion Beardtongue, which was in excellent condition and very drinkable. it felt like a reliable place to go for a few pints and I will happily revisit.

The Jolly Sailor is a Greene King owned pub, something I normally avoid given the chance, but having heard there are also guest ales available I decided to give it a go.Once inside we find a traditional pub, once it appears a two bar pub now opened out,or possibly once an end terrace pub knocked through to the dwelling next door, however it is now a very pleasant traditional pub, wooden floored save a tiled area wrapped around the servery. There are stools around the bar and the remaining areas consist of tables and chairs , two or three armchairs and sofas . A couple of flat screen TV's were showing the Holland v Mexico world cup game, there is a dartboard, live music is advertised for the weekends, there is also a courtyard beer garden. On the bar there are six handpumps, all operational on my visit and encouragingly only two were offering Greene King related beers, these were GK IPA and Old Speckled Hen,the remaining four pumps were far more interesting from my point of view, these were dispensing, Copper Dragon Golden Pippin,Tillingborne The Source, Surrey Hills Greensand IPA and Thurston Horsell Gold,a good selection, one minor grumble would be the beer temperature was maybe a degree or two to cool suppressing some of the taste, that aside my pint of Greensand IPA was in very good condition. A good pub and the best beer choice in Farnham I have found to date, well worth a look in.

the Jolly Sailor now has letting rooms.
These are very reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. The pub itself is always clean and the licensees (Don & Julie)very welcoming. There is a good selection of drinks and a weekly guest ale as well as week day lunch time food offering again at very good prices.
