It would appear the pub is now closed,the main car park is fenced off and footings are in place, presumably for houses. Although not boarded up, the pubs website and Facebook page no longer work and the telephone number is no longer recognised.

The Lobster Pot is very much a restaurant,there is however a small corner away from the diners where you can just have a drink if you don't want to eat.there's a couple of tables to sit at as well as a couple of higher tables with tall stools to sit by the windows,newspapers are provided to read with your pint.On the ale front there are two hand pumps, only one was in use on my visit ,this was dispensing Triple fff Moondance, which I have to say was in excellent condition. This is not a place I would choose to go just for a drink,and it seemed nobody else did this evening.The food was decent, as the rest of the pub which was packed with diners testified.
