A large pub focussed on dining, but with a sensible bar area in the front. Various separate areas are laid out for dining and there is a patio area to the side. On handpump were Surrey hills Ranmore, Theakston's Cresset, Adnam's Broadside, Doom Bar and a Lilley's cider. Note the car is pay and display with refund against purchases.

There is a central horseshoe bar, painted olive green along the counter front, various interconnected areas lead of from here including a large side area up a few steps. There is a mixture of regular seating with modern furniture and a number of high tables and stools. Low ceiling, large 70s style lightshades, mainly carpeted except for a boarded area in front of the bar. A couple of fireplaces and the typical B&W framed photos. TV on a wall was off as music played quietly. Outdoor seating is available either at a small terrace facing the busy main road or in a side garden off the car park overlooked by a large building festooned with mobile phone masts.
This is now a Stonegate Brewery Co outlet, menus were stacked on the tables with a decent range of pub style food on offer. A decent ale selection from the two banks of pumps, Westerham Hop Rocket IPA (£2.80, 4.8%!), Brewery in a Storm and Bramling Cross, Cottage Boundary and Johnson Single Locomotive, two clipped with Pride and Doom Bar "Coming Soon". There is a loyalty card scheme.
Various themed nights, Tuesday Grill, Wednesday curry, Thursday burger night all with combination meal and a drink deals.
The pub was rather quiet on a hot and sultry afternoon in contrast to the Leg of Mutton across the road but the barman was friendly, welcoming and helpful, I'd drop by again.

This is currently an Ember Inns pub, with some of the trademark Ember touches, such as the shelving between drinking areas containing various jars, vases and the like. The pub rambles about a bit, with the main bar area in front of the bar counter as you enter from the main road, more tables and chairs round to the right of the bar counter, and a raised area meandering around at the back and to the left of the bar. Furnishings are mainly normal tables and chairs, but with some armchairs about the place for those who like to lounge about a bit. There were menus on all the tables, and the food looked to be the usual reasonably priced pub grub that you see in this chain’s pubs.
I had a chat with the guv’nor who told me that the pub was circa 300 years old, and I have to say that it does have the look of a very old pub, including the low ceilings that country pubs (as this would have been in years past) invariably have. He also mentioned that this had once been a brewery, presumably hence the name, with the obligatory tunnels for beer delivery. Apparently this is one of the 330 pubs that have been purchased by Stonegate (who are from the same financial stable as Pizza Express and others) from Mitchell & Butler, and it will be interesting to see what changes they make, as they are a completely unknown quantity as far as I am concerned. My own view is that not much is needed to be done to this pub, but they will undoubtedly want to put their “stamp” on it. I felt comfortable in this pub, and would be happy to pay a return visit.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Brewery Inn
An Ember Inns pub, so reasonably-priced beer and food (but not quite as cheap as Wetherspoons). Nothing special, but several real ales to choose from, and a nice enough atmosphere for a chain pub.
