A wonderful old building inside and out that sadly is in an advanced state of dilapidation. There are three front facing rooms, the central room has a carpet worn to the quick, low ceiling, black beams and an old leaded glass gallery upper - rustic. To the left is a quasi-lounge. Dog friendly inside and horse racing on the TV. A sign outside saying that ‘tops must be worn at all times’ gives a clue as to issues the pubs in this area have. Three pumps at the bar with just Doom Bar on but it was a surprisingly good drop, the best I had in Addlestone. My presence lowered the average age by a good way, the smattering of old boys in situ were friendly, as was the landlord. This could and should be a cracking pub but I suspect that unless a miracle happens, it'll be a house within the next few years. Anyone out there got £150k and a desire to turn this into the best pub in the area?

A roadside pub traditionally laid out with two rooms, some banquet seating and stools at the bar.Entertainment consisted of a pool table, dartboard, fruit machine and a TV with Sky Sports news on, there was also a friendly pub dog. Three handpumps with just a choice of Doom Bar and London Pride, the latter being rather average in condition.A nice enough place but nothing to tempt me back beer wise.
