A good sized corner pub with some striking Victorian heavily glazed tiling to the exterior which are still all intact. The main feature inside was the far room beyond the bar on the right hand side. This area had the original banquette seating, which had carved timber arm rests at either end, with fitted call bells along the back. There was also an open fireplace and framed photos of steam engines along with their specifications.
Only one ale on handpump on our visit, which was Wadworth 6X. The majority of the drinkers were on the Carling as it was a particularly hot day.

An increasingly-rare street corner local, with one opened-out L-shaped bar and a side games room housing pool and darts. Numerous sports TVs line the walls. It does now boast a pair of handpumps, which at time of visit were dispensing Wadworth's 6X and Horizon, in reasonable condition.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Express
OK sort of pub, let down by a lack of real ale. First impression is that its very much a local's 'local', but they seemed friendly enough to a stranger who had obviously just walked up from Crewe station.

Good beer, friendly staff and a very good night out, a great place to sit at the back on a summers day and evening, great karaoke nights at the weekend and has some good bands,

A busy locals pub, just off Nantwich Road. Live bands and karaoke among the events on offer. Decent outside smoking area.
