The Brunswick has a bar on the right wall that supports a standard keg range and three handpumps that were all unused during my visit late on Saturday afternoon. There is raised seating around to the left of the entrance and some DJ equipment is set up to the right. This wasn’t in use, but there was some background music playing from the jukebox. There are televisions throughout, but these were all off and I didn’t spot any live sports signs. There is a dartboard at the rear and an upstairs is an advertised function room. The service was very friendly, but there was a pissed up young’un asleep on a table faced by the entrance and there was a bit of a stink. This isn’t a pub I will be rushing back to.

Looks like a large pub from the outside but on the inside it feels more compact with not as much seating as you would expect. Visited on Tuesday around 5:30pm to be greeted by loud music playing, disco lights, and some interesting clientele propping up the bar who I suspect may have been there for some time judging not least by their several impromptu bursts of singalong to the excessively loud music.

There is a raised section which was blocked off by a chair, this had some loud speakers and a TV (not on), so I guess this is where a DJ normally operates from, or maybe even live acts? There is definitely a music vibe to the pub judging by the photos on the wall, as has been previously described by Malden Man.

Three cask ales at the time of my visit - Beartown Kodiak, Sandstone Sandstone Edge and Sandstone Twisted Dragon. I went for the Sandstone Edge and I am not sure it was 100%, but it was drinkable.

It all felt a bit weird and not a place I could take to. I was happy to sup up and make my departure.

Stands out, possibly as a sore thumb along the more traditional buildings along the Nantwich Road. Taller and with a beige tiled upper facade I really don't find the appearance attractive. Inside, carpeted seating areas are split by a staircase, boarded floors with a chequer tiled area in front of the side bar.
Looks like a music pub, a slightly raised area and the positional of a lighting rig tell this, there are abstract pictures of various rock stars around the walls.
Still a pub though, if only GK beers on, IPA, Olde Trip and St Edmund's Ale. Pump clips on the wall may indicate that I missed out on a guest beer.
Not a bad spot, nothing around Crewe station sets the heart racing unless you walk up to the Beer Dock, ok for a flying one between trains.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Brunswick Hotel

Now reopened as a music-orientated pub, but it must be a bit difficult to fit a live band in the space which is sub-divided into various different seating areas. The bold 30s facade has been retained and there is some nice chequerboard tiling along the bar counter. Still a Greene King house, with three handpumps offering IPA, OSH and Roosters Yankee as a guest (£2.70). A place to consider if waiting for a train at Crewe as it is only a few minutes walk from the station.

unfortunately on March 27 2009 this pub sadly closed another pub bites the dust, this government are to blame they don't like talking shops and they imposed the smoking ban... THEY COULD HAVE DONE MORE TO SAVE THE BRITISH PUB, but maybe that is it, they are too British,,,for this government to stomach

A good local pub, run by ex boxing Champion, Joey Singleton. Steady local trade on the Nantwich Road "circuit".
