Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Fox Inn

Located in a prominent position beside the roundabout on the Coton side of the River Tame bridge. Looks like a food-led pub from the road, but the front bar is very much a local. Of course, the side and rear areas are for dining, so this place obviously appeals to two different market segments. Anyway, it has been refurbished in quite a light semi-modern style, but also with some more traditional features. Doom Bar, Tribute (£3.95) and (possibly) Old Speckled Hen available from a trio of handpumps on each part of the L-shaped counter.

A modern but quite relaxed former Ember Inn (the fireplace has now been disposed of from the pub sign), better than a lot of the others that are in that chain.

Various seating areas, going forn a relaxed feel, although the lounge to the right is a bit lit up and bright.

The location going out of Tamworth toward Lichfield means they can push up prices slightly, £3.10 a pint and 8 quid for fish and chips.

3 real ales - Landlord, Pedigree and Banks Bitter. The Landlord was ok, and its a hard beer to keep I find, though I wouldn't really recognise it as Landlord if that makes any sense.

All together quite a nice place if nothing outstanding.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Fox Inn

Its a large, multi-building, white rendered, Ember Inns pub, with beer garden and patio. The interior is open plan, with plain red and peach walls, with some white wood panel, with arty pictures and stacks of chopped wood! snazzy carpet goes with sofas and stool to create a real soulless interior. There was a quiz going. Service was fine, the clientele younger to mixed, but it was popular. I didnt try the food. Beer; tap stuff, with Banks's Bitter, Pedigree and Adnams Explorer on handpull. No U14s were allowed - i did see the sign, but it could be missed to be fair. However, why on Earth would you want to bring them here? Pop up to the Otter or Red Lion in Hopwas, far better

One of pricest in Tamworth. No children under 14 allowed due to licensing laws. Can be bit crowded on Friday and saturday nights. On plus side, it has huge car park behind the pub and large garden.
