Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Crown

Heritage and Good Beer Guide pub off the beaten track five miles north of Tamworth. Compact bar with just a couple of tables to the right of the entrance, given a light refurbishment but still much as it must have been decades ago? More rooms further back (not visited). Landlord and Tribute (£4.20) from two of the bank of three older handpumps, with another newer one alongside.

We went in here on the 12 June 2010 and the pub was definatly open.
The Crown is a really nice pub that was fairly hard to find, once inside this pub seem very unaltered we sat in the small room at the front and the locals were soon chatting to us this made us feel welcome here.
There were two real ales on here i tried a drink of Burton Bridge Sovereign and this was very nice the other beer was Bass,we thought this was a top notch pub and the best of the day and we would be glad to come here again.

This is a superb rare intact country pub. I believe it is listed which is good. It has a small square cosy bar, with an adjacent room both full of character. There is a separate dining room which is how it should be. There are real fires in the front rooms. Good real ale, well worth a visit !
