Soup Dragon left this review about The Seven Stars

The cream rendered cottage style facade is in fact just the tip of the iceberg - the place is a family entertainment complex - with an indoor and outdoor children's play areas, as well as a beer garden and front patio. The place is a carvery, 2 for 1 and all over general restuarant.

The interior is the general open plan kind for this type of establishment and is in green, white, stone and wood beam. It is predominantly for dining but there is a lounge section with comfy seats/sofas, if you like that sort of thing. Whilst i wold never say this is a traditional place, it isn't overly the current dull modern look like so many of these places have - there is a genuine attempt to give some soul to the place - there is a mix of arty pictures and old photos, with easy listening quiet background music. The service was very friendly (yes, we took the little dragons as well) the food fine.

Beer; tap stuff, with Courage Directors, Younges Bitter and a decent enough Adnams Broadside on handpull.

All in all, i never expect much from this kind of place - i see it as more functional, but i was pleased after that i went. Yes, you will still go for the food and not simply for a drink, but good luck to you!
