A little terraced white rendered pub with front facing gable, green paint work and patio area.
The interior had just the one room that I saw, which was U-shaped around the serving bar. It is in green and white, with brown ceiling, green leather seats and there is a side area, in redish wallpaper of classical ruins in which there was a big music system. The walls had a mix of general prints and cartoons and there were a few trophies. There is a dart board, a TV which was showing Sky Sports News and the music was general stuff at an OK level. The service was fine and the clientele was mixed.
Beer; tap stuff with Bombardier, England's Pride, Courage Directors and Wentworth Honey, which was OK.
A decent enough place, but i can't help feeling, being miserable, that i would have preferred it when ETA visited.

Another hidden gem in Stafford's backstreets, the King's Arms is a locals' pub offering traditional pub games - darts and pool and a truly welcoming atmosphere. A no-nonsense establishment where you can get a superb pint and talk to real people without any crap. The interior is run-down, possibly overdue for a refurb. There are usually three ales on, and once again I had the Celtic Blonde which was perfect. Another excellent pub which must be included in a crawl in this area, possibly in conjunction with the Tap and Spile, Greyhound and the Joiners Arms which are nearby.
