Soup Dragon left this review about Green Man Inn

A detached pub/eatery in white render and green paintwork and hanging baskets, also with front patio and a rear beer garden and kid’s play area. There is an attached caravan site.

The interior has two rooms. To the left on entry is the bar, in white, with a stone flagged floor. There is a TV in here, which was showing the Charity Shield match at my visit. To the right on entry is the lounge/dining area. It is on two levels. The décor is white walls and ceiling, with wood beams and a wall with red patterned wallpaper. There is a stone fireplace feature. There are some general prints on the walls, but it looks a little plain, despite a few brass bits of ephemera, some jugs, pots and a collection of old beer bottles. The service was fine, the clientele small, mixed, but local, many in the bar to watch the game. I didn’t eat so I can’t comment on the food.

Beer; usual tap stuff, with sadly, just Bombardier and Greene King IPA on handpull. I had a pop, as neither of these floats my boat.

A nice place, despite the general real ale choice, especially worth doing along with the Bank House, just along the road.
