Soup Dragon left this review about The Bell Inn

I thought i would update and upgrade my review for this place, when i returned to take a photograph. The place is a detached cattage styled pub and restaurant (self-styled addition to the name on the exterior of the pub is:- 'the noted ham n eggery' and is in white render. There is a great beer garden with a pool.

The interior is a straight room effectively. It is set out mainly for dining, rather than just drinking, as it has all tables. The decor is undressed brick and white, with modern support and ceiling beams and a mix of wood and tile flooring. The walls have mainly animal based pictures on them and there is easily listening music on in the background - at a decent level. The service was good and the clientele all diners really. I didn't eat, but flicked through the menu, which has a strong gammon content (note the name!) at around £8-£10.

Beer; there were the usual taps with Banks's MILD cask and bitter (forgot to note other beers - so this bit is from Sep 2009 when i last visited - along with three real ales including; Kinver Edge and QE2 from the Cottage Brewery. These were excellent and the MILD was spot on too).

It is more of a dining than straight drinking pub, but with the beer choice, there must be far worse places to go - i am looking forward to returning here to eat - will add a note onto this when i do
