Excellent food! Had the Steak and Ale Pie followed by Lemon Meringue Pie with cream (Lunch Menu-Just £7 for two courses). Generous portions of food. Hot and tasty as well as good quick service (Olde Peculiar take note!!).Washed down with a pint of Ringwood Showmans Tipple which was good quality.

Soup Dragon left this review about The New Talbot Inn

A cottage styled white rendered detached pub, with extension.

The interior is open plan, though there is a bar area and down a couple of steps there is a lounge and restaurant area, which is bisected by the nice feature of a stone chimney. The decor was a mix of white and dark red. The art and wall mirrors were a bit eclectic, sadly for my taste too much of it was arty tosh, but the place looks tidy and well run. Service was fine, but late on a Sunday, there was nobody else in. The music was fine and a decent level.

Beer; tap stuff, with a couple of real ale handpulls, I had Coach & Horses, but failed to write the brewery down(sorry), which was ok enough.

A little too modern for me - many will love it for the same reason

Hugh James left this review about The New Talbot Inn

Refurbished and renamed 'The New Talbot Inn.'Excellent decor. First class toilet facilities. Mainly an eatery with A1 menu and good prices. Bar area with choice of real ales = well kept.
No TV and no music. Well worth a visit. Friendly staff.
