A multi-phased, detached, 18th century country pub, in white pained brick, with beer garden.

The interior had a couple of rooms that i saw. There is a dining room, laid out with tables of course, which is in the white artex look, with a nice brick fireplace range and there are plates and jugs for decoration. The open plan bar area is in white and wood panel, with support and ceiling beams. There is a tiled floor, a couple of brick fire ranges, one being a central feature and some photos on the walls. There was a TV, which wasn't on at our visit. The service was fine and the clientele seemigly friendly locals that gave an all over happy atmosphere.

Beer; tap stuff, with three handpulls - sadly i missed the Bathams Bitter that is on on Fridays! There was Church End's What the Fox Had, Morgan Ales's Barmaids Tipple and Tollgate's TGL - all were decent.

We didn't eat, so cant comment on that, but the pub is well worth a visit - all round nice experience.

Quaint, old village pub that serves good quality food.Been in the GBG for more than 28 years. Cask ales kept in excellent condition. With Batham's Best Bitter usually on Fridays. Timothy Taylors Landlord is always on, and just lately, two guest ales, withs ales from Holden's, Salopian and Dow Bridge recently featuring. Food available 12-2pm 6-9pm Mon-Sat. Booking strongly advised sundays. Choose from the main menu or the specials on the board. There is also a £4.99 range on offer (The fish pie is worth a try), and lunchtime menu (12-2pm) with ploughmans, sandwiches etc, also with 3 open fires which makes for a cosy atmosphere in the winter! Car park at the rear of the pub. Open 12-3 6-11 Mon-Sat
