Alan Winfield left this review about The Hope & Anchor Inn

The Hope and Anchor is just up from the Miners Arms.
Once inside there is an oblong shaped room to the front with the bar facing, the seating is bench type and small stools, there is a pool table to the left and TV to the right which was showing darts, there is a larger square shaped lounge to the rear which was not in use on my Saturday afternoon visit.
There are no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Worthington cream crap which was cold.
Sadly this pub was empty on my visit,i hope things pick up or it may well close down again.

Reopened under a manager according to Lichfield CAMRA, but Enterprise are still looking for a permanent tenant.

Very Pleasant pub, with a friendly clientel, Live entertainment every Saturday night, Karaoke every Thursday night, Landlord does his own Karaoke`s with a huge ammount of songs on his list, over 150`000 he says, I could`nt find a song he had`nt got, he also makes everyone welcome, along with his wife and bar staff. I had a great night, and sang several times, and I only popped in for a quickie on the way home. I will certainly return with my family and friends.

This pub is not actually that small, there are two rooms, one a bar with pool table, darts and games machines.... and another much larger lounge. There are also two bars, although one (in the lounge) is only used on busy nights or for private parties. There is a dance floor in the lounge, (well used on Thursday and saturday nights) and a really nice beer garden with childrens play area and bouncy castle. Karaoke on a thursday, and usually a singer in the lounge on a saturday..... well worth a visit.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Hope & Anchor Inn

An end tarrace cottage style white rendered pub, with central entrance

An open plan, small, basic place, in blue decor, with dartboard and pool table. There are a few pictures on the walls, which were mainly sport based and there was a TV, with some dancing programme on. Service was OK and the clientele few but mixed.

Beer; all tap stuff, with a decent enough Banks's MILD. There was no real ale.

Basic place, with no real ale, nothing wrong with it, just wouldn't go out of my way to go back
