Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Ollys Bar

Sports-type bar that I initially thought to be closed, with all the windows blacked out for some reason. However, if you round the side via the car park, the find the entrance doors strangely located under the first-floor fire escape. The interior is inevitably dark, with much of the illumination coming from the bar area and the various large TV screens. Apart from that, it has awkward modern furniture, a pool table and a low stage. However, with no real ale, I made do with a keg Banks's Amber (£3.00) before moving on.

Ollys Bar is situated on a quiet back street just off the town centre.
Once inside there is a large single room with the bar facing, the room is carpeted on the left side and bare boarded on the right side, there are only tall tables and stools in the large main bar area, there is a small raised area to the front which has a few pew seats and normal tables and chairs plus a darts board.
There are no pumps on the bar,the keg option was Bass Extra Smooth which was a pretty poor drink.
There were a few locals in on our Saturday dinner visit.
This is quite a smart pub inside just a shame there are no real ales on here.

Soup Dragon left this review about Ollys Bar

A yellow rendered detached pub/bar and music venue, with blacked out windows and a beer patio. Formerly the Bow St Runners Tavern

The interior has one large open plan room that is in cream and wood panel i think, as it was a bit gloomy. There is a pool table and a stagey/DJ area and several TVs that had some charty music channel on, with the appropriate music at a not excessive level. There were a few old Guinness posters on the walls. The service was fine, even when the beer was foul, it was changed without quibble. There was no other clientele at my vist. I think this place in general may open evenings and into the early hours, rather than being a pub so to speak.

Beer: basic tap stuff, with Bass. The Bass was foul, so had to drink Strongbow instead, so little choice for a MILD/real ale drinker.

Not really for my age and my drinking taste, more for the younger crowd and keg drinkers into the music - i am sure they would be perfectly happy here - it isnt a dump inside - its neat and tidy.
