Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Hollybush

Chef & Brewer pub in a quiet country location, but still doing reasonable business on a wet Tuesday evening (although almost everyone must drive out to here). More attractive inside than out, albeit in a refurbished chain-pub / restaurant kind of way, with various seating and dining areas on three sides of the central servery, all with a mix of traditional and modern elements. Also has a small patio between the building and the road. Two of three handpumps in operation, offering Greene King IPA (curiously priced at £3.58) and Abbot.

Revisit on 20/06/2014, they have now improved the real ale range which included a localish Backyard beer.

06/08/2010: Part of the Chef & Brewer chain, this is a pub tucked out of the way, but not too far from Shenstone, the M6 toll and the A38. Its on a quiet road & has a large car park & pleasent outdoor drinking areas.

Inside its smart & there are beams & various tables and half is given over to food. There are obvious signs its part of a chain, there is an uninspired menu thats slightly pricey complimented by an uninspiring beer choice - Adnams Bitter, Bombadier and a guest, Greene King IPA. The beer quality was ok.

However there are signs that it is trying to find its own identity, there was a wine festival on and the serve was better than the usual chain standard.

Its the kind of pub that people should be going out to support, a nice country pub and with a little more courage it could be excellent.

Typically nice, white rendered, detached, country pub, covered in climbing plants, with a beer patio. The interior is open plan and traditional, with the beams and white wall look, with wood panelling. There are lots of old pictures and ornaments, such as plates, on the walls. There is a nice wood bar, with a grandfather clock in the corner. The place is a pub/eatery, but is nicely both, rather than one or the other, though seating is aimed at diners. The food we had was excellent. The service was great and the clientele friendly, but more mature. Music was subdued. Beer; usual tap tosh, with Davenports bitter, Englands Glory and Fox’s Knob on handpull - the Knob being fine, as well as Leffe. Yes, most definitely I would return
