Update:
The pub looked like it closed and re-opened earlier in December, so it may have improved

A detached, undressed brick exterior, possibly from the 40s. The interior had two rooms, though the lounge had its lights off. The bar had darts and pool, with ITV on TV, as they no longer show footy games in case the younger kids come in, so their sign outside is a bit misleading. The bar had a chessboard floor, with some tape over the cracks, with peachy kind of walls and painted panel. The service was friendly enough, but the fact that I was the only one there rang alarm bells. Beer was simply a few taps; no real ale and the Theakston’s MILD on keg wasn’t on – I ended up with a coke and swift exit to find a drink and the match on somewhere else. This place looked like it was on its last legs. I worry for it.
