Soup Dragon left this review about The Yew Tree

Update: I was pleasantly surprised by the addition of three handpulls to this pub - Tribute, Doom Bar, but also a decent Theakston's Old Peculiar. The lounge has been refurbed and has a TV (not on) with music at a decent level. The bar room has a pool table, a couple of dartboards and Sky TV (showing the Eng v Aus ODI). Also refurbished it had a feature wall with a local historic map and events as wallpaper. This room had a locals feel and I would happily return for a game of darts knowing there was something to drink. Much improved.

Sep 2009: A typical example of 60s architecture - looks like a big house, surrounded by a car-park on which the beer patio stands. The interior has two rooms, a smaller pool room and a larger open plan bar/lounge with TVs all over, decorated in plain and garish colours. Souless and definately one for the younger market. Service was ok.

Beerwise; usual stuff, with Banks's MILD smooth, which was ok. No handpulls.

Bland place and bland beer, ok if you like fizz and dont care where you go.
