Three hand pumps on the bar but only Marstons Pedigree available when I was here the other Saturday night. It was fairly quiet, with only a handful of people watching a football match on Sky in the small snug next to the bar - the area preserving its character and function even though most of the walls have been removed.

Open plan but it was obviously the standard two bar set up at one time, there are neat seating areas either side of the short entrance corridor and a opened out area with pool table to the right of the counter. There’s also a dart board and through the back is a second pool table. Standard Burton line up on the counter, those who don’t drink Carling drink good quality Pedigree. The usual friendly Burton welcome from customers and staff, in this case a knitting, raconteur of a landlady. Decorated with prints and old photos, it has the usual screens and machines, the toilets are labelled as Lads and Lasses.
