Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The New Inn

Recently taken on by Black Country Ales, and refurbished in their usual traditional style. Very busy early on a Thursday evening, with a large group playing darts and others coming in for a pub quiz a bit later on. Has a smaller number of handpulls (12) than most of this chain, but there was a good selection and my Beartown Skinfull was first class.

A nice Victorian looking pub, with rear garden area. The interior has to rooms, served by a central bar. The lounge is to the left, a narrow room in wallpaper with a dart board at the end and a large pull down screen. The bar is to the right and is on a split level with a pool table and dart board at a lower level at the back, with a TV playing Vintage TV. A few jugs and trophies, along with old photos offer some interest. Service was functional, but the locals were friendly enough. Beer is the usual tap stuff with Doombar (ok) and Pedigree on pull. One for the locals.

The New Inn is rather similar to the Vine with a lounge to the left and public to the right. Once again I went for the quiet lounge which was a long room with a wooden floor at the front and carpeted at the rear where there is also a dart board.
According to What Pub this is now a free house but before anyone gets excited the beer choice was Pedigree, Bass or Doom Bore. I went for the Pedigree (£2.70) as the lesser of three evils and it seemed OK.
This is very much a locals pub but there are two much better ale options in Tutbury (that was pasted in from the Vine review).

Alan Winfield left this review about New Inn

The New Inn is a smallish pub that is just off the main shopping area of Tutbury.
Once inside there were two rooms that i noticed and i had a drink in the bar which was quite a nice comfortable room, this pub is a Marstons tied house and there were two real ales on here i had a drink of Pedigree and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Marstons Burton bitter.
This was more of a locals pub and i quite enjoyed having a drink in here.
