A large white rendered 'coaching inn' kind of pub, with large beer garden with a red telephone box in it.

The interior has a traditional style lounge, which is the food area - it is in white and wood panle, with old photos and ephemera like a grandfather clock, making it a great tempt for me to return to to try the food. The bar is more modern, in olive green and white. It has darts and pool, with a strange lifesize model of a soldier from Tom Thumb or some Disney production. There were also a few Sky/ESPN TVs in the bar. Service was ok, the clientele mixed and it was busy.

Beer; tap stuff with a nice Oyster Stout, along with the untried Pedigree and Jennings Snecklifter on handpull.

I would like to try the food here. Overall it was a nice experience and i would come back just for the beer.

Followed the first comment. Excellent - worth every star. Pedigree and Jennings A1. Food and service first class. February not the time to enjoy the outdoors.

A great village pub with pedigree and a guest ale all year round. Good pub food is served by the hosts greg and racheal. Many events take place through the year on their camping field that runs down to the river swarbourne. The beer garden is a must on those long sunny afternoons!
