The Crown has obviously had a bit of a makeover since the last review but nonetheless a really pleasant pub. Went in last night after a long day on the canal. Sat in the garden with my wife and the dogs. Had three pints of Salopian Lemon Dream...pure nectar. Not exactly expertly pulled but very good she had two halves and a bit more of mine. Menu looks good and reasonably priced. Pedigree, Bass and Trooper on as well. Landlord and staff all very pleasant even after a long day serving Sunday lunches. Would heartily recommend.

The Crown Inn is a nice looking white painted pub that is situated just off the main road through Alrewas.
Once inside there was a small snug to the front left, this room had a darts board in it and padded bench seats and small stools, the main bar area had a tiled floor with a few different drinking areas, there was a real fire crackling away in this area, there was also a seperate lounge to the right.
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Taylor Landlord which was a very nice drink the other beers were Pedigree and Bass.
This is a nice proper pub but it was a bit too quiet with no music and very few customers on our dinnertime visit.

Nice white rendered, multi-building pub, with traditional exterior. It has a beer garden and is also a music venue. The interior is a nesting of several rooms, an open plan snug, with a dining room on the other side of the pub. Decor is red and white, with some wallpapered walls. It isnt all traditional, as there are pictures of Audrey Hepburn and the brat pack on the walls. Service was friendly, clientele mixed. Used by boat people a lot. Family friendly. We didnt eat. Beer; tap stuff, with Pedigree, Bass Hook Norton Old Hooky on handpull, the hooky being nice. Also had Leffe, which i had as well. There is a modern touch to this traditional pub, but it is the best locally for beer choice. I will, at some stage, be back.
