Will Larter left this review about The White Hart

A back street local which shows racing on the TV in the afternoons, which is handy for customers of the betting shop just across the road (and vice versa). Beers available on hand pump were John Smiths Cask, Timothy Taylor Landlord and Sharps Doom Bar. I would normally go for the Landlord in this situation, but decided on a whim to try the John Smiths. This was served in perfectly good condition, but it's a poor excuse for a beer, with no hops at all that I could taste, and a flavour that owed less to malt than to caramel, as far as I could tell. That's a mistake I won't be making again.

This is a traditional pub, which does not do food, which is not a problem as you can use the large variety of eating places within easy walking distance. It has a welcoming real open fire and rear beer garden with car park, heated smoking area and kiddies play area. There are three Sky TV screens for different sports viewing. You will certainly encounter some real Yorkshire characters here!!Philip and Sandra Rose, the residents, always offer a personal welcome. The beers are the best in the area.
