Brainy Pool left this review about The Mount Inn

Lovely pub with views stretching far across the river Dee from the beer garden. Civilised atmosphere inside with people reading the paper. four real ales on and these indicated it to be a Hydes pub with guests. had a Red Aviator which was pleasant at a strange price of £3.18. Service very friendly too. Worth the walk out of Chester if you want nice views and a change from the busy city centre pubs.

Excellent pub tucked away in a turning, but benefitting from its own car park. Nicely furnished interior, with a nice terrace offering superb views over the River Dee. Several good ales on handpump and a friendly welcome. Very pleasant.

A really nice pub just off the main road. Real ales available and a lovely view over the Dee to the rear.

A cream rendered terraced building in two parts and beer patio.

The interior is open plan, but having a couple of different areas. The decor is cream wallpaper and white walls, with green seats (where i was), wood floor and a nice fireplace. There is Sky TV and old pictures of Chester dotted about, along with other ephemera. The bar is wood. Service was fine and it had a mixed clientele.

Beer was all tap stuff, with Black Sheep on handpull. A disappointment really.

Nothing wrong with the place, just a bit of a non-entity really. I wouldn't seek it out, but i am sure at some stage i will drift back in.
