Der Schnapps advertises itself as a Sports Lounge and Night Club so I wasn’t expecting much as I wandered through the entrance early on a recent Wednesday evening. The open plan interior is akin to a warehouse with a dance floor and DJ booth to the front right, a pool area with many tables to the rear right, a sofa area mid-way along the rear wall and a bar area with high tables to the left. Unsurprisingly there is no cask, just standard keg. There were ten or so people in, but it felt very empty, reckon you’d need at least 50 to generate any atmosphere. I imagine this number is far exceeded at the weekend when I bet it’s mental in here. Another Scunthorpe venue that I’ll not be returning to.

Large open boring place that specializes in vertical drinking. Nobody goes there before 11 in the evening, and those who do just go for a fight.
Very handy for pizza, kebabs, fish and chips, and the public toilets.
