This pub had on Robinson's Dizzy Blond (£1.80 a half), Theakston's Lightfoot, and Deuchars IPA. This bar/pubs seems to be fairly food centric. I didn't see a full menu (I was in at around 4.00 PM on a weekday), but I did see a "special light lunch menu" on the tables offering a choice of four main courses - e.g. meatball linguini or a sarny and small soup, for £7.95.
In keeping with its modern look, it's obviously bare-boarded throughout; walls are a mixture of gastro grey and exposed brickwork, with a bit of arty wallpaper. Furnishings are entirely normal tables and chairs, with most of the tables bearing reserved signs for various times during the afternoon and evening. There was a shelf divider between a couple of the drinking/dining areas with various jugs, vases and other nick-nacks on it, plus all the tables obviously bore a little sprig of flowers. A wrought iron clock plus sunburst and swirly mirrors were on the walls.
It's all a bit modern in here and not very pub-like. Perhaps it's where the Hoole Hipsters hang out? But it did have three ales on. Mind you, anywhere that styles itself as a pub, bar & restaurant isn't going to be a traditional pub.

Is more wine/bistro bar than pub. Clean and bright inside and serves real ales.
