Small pub just behind the walls and to the side of the Grosvenor shopping thingy. The place is a small L-shaped and there were 2 real ales on of which neither tasted any good. I don't like it but then, who cares?

Odd little pub behind the main shopping centre car park. Kitchen was being rebuilt but the menu and food advertising was still everywhere. Nice enough. Has a 4am licence Thursday to Saturday.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Plumbers Arms

A good traditional pub serving two beers from Thwaites and one cider on handpump. In spite of this pub having two regular Thwaites beers on, it's still a freehouse and not tied. This is a friendly and chatty one roomed pub, consisting of a seated front area with open fireplace and plenty of light from the leadlight front windows. Walls were panelled and painted grey throughout. The bar was solid oak, with coloured quarry floor tiles leading from the entrance and finishing around the base of the bar. They also serve traditional English fayre, such as corn beef hash etc. and a selection of hot pies.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Plumbers Arms

A terraced pub with white render and black paintwork.

The interior is open plan and has been murdered since my last visit. Gone are the dartboard and traditional pub, in is the modern look. The decor is mostly dark red, yellow and white, with wood floor and interest being supplied by the vases and other object d'art and the arty circle pictures on the wall, along with some film stars. The single room has a central bar and does have a nice tiled fireplace. There was a silent TV, with Sky news and easy listening background music played at a decent level. The service was fine, there was no other clientele.

The beer; usual tap stuff, with Thwaites Original, Lancaster Bomber and a reasonable Ribbler on handpull.

Sadly, another pub given over to the modern look.
