Longish room with the bar to the right. Usual selection of Tim's ales but a new one on me, Fletchers 5.2 ABV IPA which was quite decent.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Coliseum Picture Theatre (JD Wetherspoon)

Decent-looking cinema conversion, although never a large building so the mezzanine is very much a necessity to provide an adequate amount of seating. Usual dark wood interior, with the main features of note being the glass-fronted beer store at the back and the classical-style mural upstairs. Also has a non-smoking roof garden and some tables out front. Reasonable selection from nine of 12 handpumps, with my pint of Elgood's Indian Summer excellent value at £2.15.

This is a cinema conversion although it was a night club before JDW took it on so they may not be entirely responsible for the current layout.
I turned up here having discovered that it was Cleethorpes Carnival Day so my visit was very brief to enable me to jump back on the train I had arrived on.
It's a long narrow room with the bar on the right and no obvious feel that it was once a cinema as an upstairs area has been added.
The 12 hand pumps had the JDW Trio Of Doom with the GK beers doubled, two unused, Wibbler's Summer Time, Kelham Island Pale Rider, Salopian Oracle, Wickwar Falling Star and Stonehenge Great Bustard. I went for the Great Bustard (£2.15) which was in good nick.
This seemed a reasonable sort of Spoons.

Originally a cinema as the name implies, I thought this was one of the better Wetherspoons conversions, with a Romanesque theme throughout. The ground floor consists of a long single room with bar to right, decor is cream and wood panelling with various pillars and pictures, a large window looking out on the array of casks to the rear, and a mixture of high and low seating. Upstairs is a comfortable room albeit without its own bar, and there is a non-smoking roof terrace.

Ales were dispensed from two banks of six handpulls, with Abbot, Pride and Ruddles Best looking like regular beers and a selection of mainly Christmas beers on the other pumps during my recent visit. Three beers featured on both banks, hence nine available in total. I had decent pints of Oldershaw Great Expectations and Stonehenge Ales Rudolph.

I’m not generally much of a JDW fan but thought this was a good one to which I’d happily return
