The White Horse is a Wetherspoons located at the end of Brigg’s high street. The long bar counter is found along the right-hand wall where it faces high tables that run up the centre from front to rear. There is seating in the front windows and booths run up the left-hand wall. At the rear is an open plan seating area where the kitchen hatch is also found. Out the back is a large patio with lots of seating.
Standard keg is available alongside San Miguel and there are two duplicate banks of six hand pumps. These were drawing the usual Ruddles, Sharp’s Doom Bar and GK Abbot Ale alongside Stone Henge Ales Great Bustard, Theakston’s Crowning Glory and Brains SA. My visit was not long after midday on a recent Thursday so it was busy with a mix of pensioners and students. It’s always handy to know where the local Spoons is, but there are better options along this stretch.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The White Horse (JD Wetherspoon)

Attractive former farmhouse, later converted to an inn, but in more recent times taken over by Wetherspoon (although you would never know, just looking at the frontage). Much extended to the rear, with semi-modern furniture and decor throughout, and benefiting from a reasonable patio beer garden at the back. Nothing very special on the real ale front, though with a duplicated selection from the two banks of six handpumps, with only Ringwood Forty Niner, Oakham JHB and Nethergate Suffolk County (£2.15) of any real note.

The White Horse is an original pub but has almost certainly been changed beyond recognition. Inside it's a long low ceilinged room with a smaller eating area at the front and a larger one at the rear. The bar is on the right and there are several alcoves over to the left. There is a mix of wooden floors, carpets and tiles around the bar. As is normal with a relatively new JDW the fixtures are better than in their older outlets. At the front are some tables and chairs for the smokers and there is a large paved patio at the rear which is no smoking. As usual they've stuck the Gent's toilets upstairs but not the Ladies. There was a fair crowd in on my Tuesday early afternoon visit, mostly eating.
Although the bar has twelve hand pumps the beer choice was poor. There were four available soon, the JDW Trio Of Doom doubled up leaving just Flack Manor Black Jack Porter and Milestone Dark Galleon as the only worthwhile options. I went for the Dark Galleon (£2.15) which was in good nick.
It's quite a pleasant Spoons so it's a shame to see it let down by such a poor beer choice.
