Under new ownership since PH's last review, this large village pub has a mixed history, including murder, intrigue and normal village life. It must be noted that the current landlord has nothing to do with any of the previous unpleasant incidents which have made the pub that bit more ineresting. The pub has been refurbished in the last few years and is very agreeable inside, while the locals and staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a large car park at the back, an important feature as traffic in the village can be a problem. It boasts a pool table, a couple of open fires, a carpeted floor and a rather dull jukebox. It is dog-friendly, and good pub food is on offer at a reasonable price, though they don't cook on Sunday evenings. There were three ales on: I had the Otter which was in very good condition. Well worth deviating from the Minehead road to find.

Booke a table for lunch on Sunday but that didn't seem to account for much as the table we had booked was occupied and we were given a table elsewhere which we declined. Very poor service I'm afraid. As fot the beer, Quantock Ale and Quantock Wills Neck were available but in poor condition in my opinion. The guy who makes the stuff was standing at the bar' I hiope he offered some advice to the clueless bar staff on how to keep and serve his product. And not a full pint; I don't think I've had a full pint in the Lethbridge since it re-opened. Disappointing, but lets look on it as an opportunity to improve.

Must be good if it impressed the wife. Excellant pub lunch, well served real ale, proper coffee, fast and freindly service and even a welcome for our dogs. Off road parking a beer garden if the weather had been better and real value compared with a comparable lunch at a tourist attraction coffe shop.

The Lethbride Arms has re-opened as a village local. The restaraunt atmosphere has gone, the pool table and juke are back in the old public bar and there are some drinkers in. Doom bar and Otter Ale on handpump at the moment, with two empty ones. Lets hope this is only temporary and that some decent, different ales are on offer soon.

Early days but looks promising.

Pleasant enough pub and handy for the West Somerset Railway. Sampled a pint of Otter Ale on Friday 3rd Sept and was on good form. Two other ales available
