Multi roomed pub that has been modernised. There's a lounge to the left and a room with dining tables to the right. There's also a room to the rear with sofas and dining tables. A decent sized outdoor area is at the back of the pub. There are a couple of large TV screens which were playing a music channel at a reasonable volume. 2 handpumps on the bar serving Facers Flintshire Bitter and Black Sheep Bitter. The Facers was in decent nick as well. About 10 people in on my Thursday lunchtime visit, mainly suits from a nearby office. It's quite a pleasant place for one, but the small beer choice would prevent me from staying longer.

Waited 4 mins for service but to no avail as the barmaid was chatting away on the phone around the corner,so gave it a miss and frequented Alexandra's Jazz Bar instead.Agree with Soup Dragon about the decor

The exterior is fantastic - a corner hotel in Victorian terracotta.

I visited this place a couple of years back and popped my head around the door again a couple of days ago to confirm what i remembered (this was a brief look, that's all). The interior is modern, with sofas and the place was pretty empty. The service last time was fine, as we walked in and out, due to the fact they were a four tap pub, with no real ale, or keg MILD even.

Sadly, a beautiful building turned over to the modern look, with bland and straight-forward beer choice. It almost hurts.

reminds me of the grand liverpool pubs, nice atmosphere warm in the winter cool in the summer, good selection of beers, very close to the city centre.
